Governor Alex Oti of Abia State, since he resumed office May 29th his hands and his  team has been on deck. 

This is what the Excellence pan down on his  Twitter page 4th August. 

I met with a delegation of the Central Bank of Nigeria Umuahia branch, led by Mr. Olaoba Ayotunde, Branch Controller and Adiele Kelechi, Development Finance, along with other team members. Also present was the Abia State chapter Chairman of National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Mr. Eze Linus Okezie.

They highlighted the need for improved collaboration between the Abia State Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria to ensure effective utilization of development finance resources.

The discussions bordered on the problems they had encountered in the past, noting that the synergy and requisite structures were not in place to access some of the CBN facilities. They applauded the government for creating an intervention department with a focal person to relate with. Some of the interventions from the CBN that had not been accessed included the SME village, Autonomous Poultry Programme, among others.

We are going to be weighing in on some of the problems they highlighted, mainly recoveries, collateralisation, and ensuring that the programmes impact positively on the grassroots. We have structured a plan to assist in recovery, looking at the peer pressure advantage in the cooperative model. Cooperative is the core plank of our administration's driver for SMEs and other empowerment programmes. We also have a Special Adviser in charge of cooperatives.

I look forward to a closer and more robust interface with the CBN.

George Weah To ECOWAS leaders

According to a Twitter user @Bethel_Anun quoted Liberia President, George Weah as saying, “As long as ECOWAS continues to allow fraudulent declaration of election result and intermittent manipulation of justice, and judiciary, there will always be military coup in Africa.” It will be practically impossible to condemn military dictatorship without first condemning institutional coups and manipulation, he had noted. Concerning democracy in Africa, he maintained that democratic institutions have been subjected to different levels of threats by desperate politicians without any intervention from ECOWAS.

He said the authority of states and governments in the West African region should fight for the interest of mass. And any time there's manipulation in the judicial system, they should also talk in the defense of the African citizens; by so doing, politicians will be devoid from engaging in institutional coups and mismanagement of public funds, thereby preventing military intervention.

Recall that ECOWAS has placed breathtaking economic sanctions on the Niger Republic for a successfully planned coup d'etat that ousted President Mohammed Bazoum from office. They also maintained that if the coupist failed to reverse their actions within 7 days, there would be a military inversion. Quoting George Wear well, he advised African leaders to fight injustices surrounding political institutions in the region and allow corrupt politicians to gain access to elective office through election rigging, voter apathy, mass poverty, and vote buying during polls.

Samuel Eto’o Escape jail From His Daughter

 

Samuel Eto’o, former FC Barcelona striker has reached an agreement with his daughter Erika do Rosario Nieves to pay 90,000 euros to avoid being jail

 

The former Inter Milan striker had a relationship with Erika’s mother Do Rosario during his time as part of Real Madrid football players in the 90s.

Samuel Eto’o met Rosario at a nightclub in Madrid in 1998 and she got pregnant the same year after an affair with the legendary Cameroon frontman, giving birth to Erika in 1999.

Since then Eto’o has neglected child support until the 24-year-old filed a court case against the Cameroon FA President.

Samuel Eto’o was declared to be the father of Erika by a Spanish court in 2022 following the former Real Madrid player’s preliminary refusal to approve her as his daughter.

This happened after Erika’s mother, Adileusa do Rosario, sued Eto’o in 2018.

The 42-year-old was ordered by the magistrate to pay up the arrears of €1,400 per month in child support as her financial status is not credible which he ignored for a long time.

Lawyer Fernando Osuna claims that Erika’s father, Samuel Eto’o, has not paid her monthly allowance for the past five years and that he now owes her about €90,000.

Meanwhile, Erika wanted the former Chelsea superstar in prison and demanded a 21-month jail sentence for the three times UEFA Champions League winner.

Veteran Nollywood Actress Pass On

 Nollywood is Nigeria film industry biggest in Africa, arguably  top 10 in the world.  

These are men and women who are doing great in their own right and in eyes of the society, but in recent time some have been facing life issues, such as their health seems to be the matter. 

We wake up Wednesday morning to another sad news of one of the veteran  actress Madam Cynthia Okereke  pass on, Tuesday 11th July 2023.

The news was broken on Twitter by one of her colleagues @Okechukwu Joseph and it read 

REST IN PEACE, Nwanyi oma. I’m shattered beyond words. 

The fact that I was about to pay for your flight ticket to come finish what we started only to here you went to be with Lord just last night is one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to deal with in recent times. I pray I’m able to recover from this shock. Life is really just a mist. One minute you have it, the next you don’t. 

For the more than 20 years that I’ve known you, you’ve been such an amazing, decent and lovely soul to be around. I never imagined you’d exit so unceremoniously. Words fail me. 

Sleep on, Cynthia. May your gentle soul rest on till we meet again in glory. #CynthiaOkereke

100 DAYS OF CHANGE IN NIGERIA

The word is in the mouth of most Nigerians  both the elites and laymen everybody needs CHANGE!

Change ,became a demand for most Nigeria people since 2014-2015 ,the man we all together believe
in , because of his educational standard and luck since to be on his side by the way he was emerging to
position of power from school and how his not able to afford school sandals or shoes people thoughts
was with all this in his mind , he will do well in for the country .so they voted him in to power in 2011.

He couldnt meet up to the promises rather he allowed to many foulplay on us as Nigerians.
EFCC, ICPC, please do your work let us see the results .

This time its not about luck but about  : Buhari - APC the progressive congress of ALL ,the
party which gathered is power after the emerging of 4(four)parties became ONE ;  All Progressive Congress
with the slogan -Change .

First was the battle of the primaries were we had the gladitors - fight for their popularity - Buhari won the primary
there the party head emerged .Buhari as a discipline military general (rtd) with his previous time as a military
head of states and all the things his government tried to achive before the coup came and throw them out .
some who just like his person went personally campaigning for spending their fortune unknown to him -buhari .

On 28th march he won the presidential election and 29th of may 2015 , He was sworn in to power . many rejoice
for the change has come .
29th May -- 4th Sept is 100days in office of the APC/Buhari led government .

what are the changes so far , people on the street seems to speaking as being disappointed ; what is the change Nigerians are looking for ?

In 100 days of the Buhari led government , we have seen light /electricity 10- 16 hours daily , road which was abadoned are now been revisited and work is on .
The Nigeria main source of wealth generation company was visited NNPC ,sacking the head with 38 senior
officers and replaced them with fewer hands and more serious minded directors .

In 100 days in office , Two of the Three Oil refineries in this country is now working.This same refineries ,the former
Petroleum minister ,being inteviewed in radio station -Wazobia fm lagos early this year 2015 ,she said our refineries
can not work that they are delapited with awkward parts , now two out of three of them are working in less than
100 days in office .

The military are not left out they have been touched now with new officers in command ,move the defence HQ to
maiduguri to be close to fight the BH over there .

The police force have their own ,now there is10,000 job opportunity in that service. Most of the nation's DG and their
agencies have been visit some are sacked and being replaced by minded personel and those ones left have sit up

In securites , we have seen alots of actions from the Nigeria military force towards the enemies of this nation ,we
know how it used to be.

Helping the states governments to pay salaries of state workers about 18 states in the country .

What about the Anti-Corruption war, in the last 100 days it have been hell for those corrupt men and women
in the country ,with all kinds of Committees just to slow down the move , now the government is setting up one
single federation account  so that all agencies can be accounted for . Oil , Power sector, Custom , Aviation etc .
even some states are now following the one single account for their state

September is here that the special adivser on media matters  told us during the US trip that ministrial appiontments
will be in september .Nigerians let wait ,for the APC/Buhari led government to see what is in their sleeve for us.
